Adaptec PowerDomain 29160) Id rather not have to buy another SCSI card, as the 29160 was expensive Since 10.0 with drivers from Adaptec. Drivers for that card are included with Jaguar so it works out of the box. The info Ive had says it wont work because the ROM is physically different, with the Mac model having more memory (besides having different programming). Pat. Im an ATTO man, because of the terrible Adaptec drivers over the years. Adaptec Powerdomain 39160 Ultra160 Scsi Pci Mac OS X In ThisYou can find more of what Im referring to by doing a search for Adaptec, SCSI, and Mac OS X in this forum. Are you sure those are PC versions This ASK article says the PC versions will not work on a Mac: link View image: infopopemoticonsiconconfused.gif I have a Mac 29160N running three U160 drives. TARGETblank None of the UL2 cards from ATTO are officially supported by ATTO under Mac OS X. However, I did buy one of these and it does ID correctly under X.1.5. I have not bought my VXA-2 drive to connect to it yet (Dantz is dragging their feet with a full featured driver,) so I cannot yet say if it functions properly under X. It would not be a big deal for me if it didnt, since I will be using it under OS 9. Jack. Jack While this is a little disconcerting, Im still happy with the order because OWC claims it will work with all versions on OS X and they offer a 90-day warranty. Ive dealt with OWC in the past and have always been pleased with them. Ill let you all know how it works with my new MDD dual-1.0GHz G4 DDR and my VXA-1 SCSI tape drive. I also ordered a 3-port FireWire card from OWC (just 20) for my old PowerMac 8600300 so that it can (hopefully) use some of my FireWire devices.
